How many miles is too much to buy on a used 2000 crown victoria police interceptor?

the car currently has 190,000 miles on it but i talked to a taxi driver who said crown victorias can get more than 400,000 miles... Just need your opinionHow many miles is too much to buy on a used 2000 crown victoria police interceptor?
Well to be absolutely honest for the price id have to tell id go for it just be sure to take a pretty good look at the engine and look out for oil leaks which is the main killer of those engines from what ive came across 190,000 miles is pretty high but so long as it was taken care of you should be able to push on up to 300,000 pretty easilyHow many miles is too much to buy on a used 2000 crown victoria police interceptor?
It all depends upon the type of use that they've had. What makes the Interceptor a good car is...heat is the enemy of all cars. They've got a larger than normal cooling system, as well as a large oil cooler.

Downside: It was actually used as an interceptor. Lot's of idle engine time waiting for your average perp (perpetrator)..idle time at doughnut shops.

Upside: It was used as part of a municipal fleet.

Many cab companies do use ex-squad card, in particular the crown vic interceptor. They generally buy them at auction from some of the sites that recondition them. They're open to the pulic.

Usually the Interceptors are dumped to auction around 60-80000 miles. You've got one there that has had a lot of use as a personal vehicle by the looks.

I've got one that I purchased for the same price as you that has 120K on it. Mileage is a bit high. I wouldn't jump too fast at that one...check out the policecar auction sites. They do a nice job. You'll get a nice car, refurbished, for reasonable.
